Hi,

I use Simlab 2019.3 to run some nonlinear implicit jobs.

It was not converged but when I run with OS deck directly (2019.1), it converged pretty well.

I think SL 2019.3 may use old version of OS? Can I change this manually by point to my OS solver (2019.1 in HM folder)?

    Hi,

Yes you can change the OS solver for solving OptiStruct problems in SimLab.

Go to the below installation location of SimLab and run Configure.exe.

In the Configure.exe application, go to Solver Settings (click Next to move from each page).

In the Solver settings page, select the OptiStruct option and select Choose .

After selecting the Choose option, specify the Scripts directory of your OptiStruct solver. For example, as shown in below image.

After specifying the directory for OptiStruct, click Next to move to subsequent pages. Finally, select Install to complete the re-configuration process.

Now you can run the OptiStruct solution directly from SimLab 2019.3 with your desired OptiStruct version.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sivasankar.
