How to control object motion by editing a project file with external software instead of using the GUI

WinProp can simulate time-variant scenarios in which geometry objects are moving. Such movement is typically defined in the WallMan GUI and stored in the .idb file, which is a binary file.

Advanced users may wish to be able to modify the movement through external software. For instance, in a simulation of automotive radar, the external software may evaluate the received signals and decide to apply the brake or make an evasive maneuver. This can be done by editing one of the ASCII project files. This module explains how that can be done.
