Error Invalid Drive C During Installation of License Server


While installing the License Server, this error is displayed:

"Invalid Drive C:\".

Installation ends prematurely due to this error.



This happens when there's no mapped C drive. Most of these cases occur in a Citrix environment.



  1. Open the Computer to display your connected drives.
  2. Click the Start menu and then click Computer. This will open a window displaying all of your drives.
  3. Click Map Network Drive. This button is located on the right end of the top horizontal menu bar. Clicking this button will open the Map Network Drive
  4. Select a drive letter. This is the letter that will appear on the network to identify the drive. Pick a letter towards the end of the alphabet to avoid conflicting with existing physical drives. For this case, you need to choose drive C.
