There are occasions when the assignment of angled joint loads is needed, whether due to practice reasons or a special connection or geometry is presented.
At first sight, angled or diagonal joint loads can't be applied. There are options for member loads to apply them following the Global system or a local system, allowing the assignment of these loads with more ease, but the workaround for the joint loads can't be appreciated so quickly as previously mentioned.
In this video, we present the workflow to assign these joint loads, focused on 3D geometry; the same workflow can be followed for 2D geometry.
