I have a problem. I have one RBE2 element created from 1 independent node and 50 independent nodes. When I check the model, I sow that I have one 1-d element with 1 free ends. Is there a way to find which of these 50 nodes is free?
An even faster option in HM11 now is to use the Check Elems panel (F10), 1d elems, and the free 1d nodes check. This highlights the nodes of the displayed rigid elements that are not connected to any other elements.
Hello EVSM
you can try this way:
- Detach the RBE2 element (enter panel 'detach') with offset value 0.0
- Preview equivalence (Shift F3) with very small tolerance (ex 1e-6) and save found equivalence nodes
- Display only the RBE2 element
- Shift F2 : retrieve the equivalence nodes you've just saved, reverse the selection ==> you will get the free nodes
good luck
regards,
tinh
