Coarsen tetra mesh

Hello Everyone,

I have tetra mesh in my model. I want to coarsen the mesh size but there is no geometry in the model.

I tried using 3D > tetramesh > tetra remesh option but there is no change in meshing even after using this option. The geometry is complex therefore the Process of extracting faces and then remeshing / using new CAD geometry is time consuming. How can I coarsen the 3d mesh?

Hey Yash,

Tetra remesh will coarsen the internal mesh.

If you'd like to coarsen it as a whole, use the Faces tool to generate exterior shell mesh:

Then remesh the exterior mesh with a larger elem size:

Then you can create a new Tetra Mesh with desired element size:
