VTW stops at 0.02%

Hi, I'm doing the altair tutorial 'Virtual Wind Tunnel Analysis of a Student Race Car', i do all the steps like the video, but when i run the solver of the VWT ever is at 0.02% completed. Wich is the problem?

    Also with this other model created by us, we have the same problem.

    Hi, 

    Depending on your model and specifications, the simulation may take many hours for completion since VWT conducts a 3D CFD simulation. Also, the status bar does not keep track of each and every completed process as the meshing and solving is done using other software in the background, hence the progress shown there might be inaccurate. 

     

    If you wish to check whether or not the simulation is progressing at all kindly have a look at your progress log file which will be in your run directory. For accessing the log file, follow the steps mentioned below:

    • Go to File > Preferences > AcuSolve and copy the address of the folder in the Run directory field

    • Go to the latest folder in this location

    • Go to the file named vwtAnalysis.1 and open it. This is the log file where you can get the status updates.

     

    If the log file does not show any progress at all then consider increasing the element size of your mesh to reduce the computation time and also try running a steady simulation instead of a transient one
