After the installation of Monarch Classic, I am trying to open Excel (XLSX) sheet as database however after multiple attempt I am not able to get the excel data in table format. how do I go about fixing this?

    Hi Atiq,

    Classic

    • If you're opening an Excel file in classic I would make sure the excel file is closed.
    • Next you want to open it as a 'Database'
    • Click on 'Computer' to browse to the file
    • Select the table, which means the tab in the workbook you want
    • then 'Import' the data.

    Data Prep Studio

    • Click on 'Open Data'
    • Browse to Spreadsheet
    • Two Options;
      • Excel Worksheet Design: Takes you to 'Excel Trapping'
      • Microsoft Excel: Opens the Excel files as is
        • This will open an Excel Explorer where you can select the tab(s) you want.
        • You can 'Preview' the tabs, or simply load them to the 'Prepare' window where you will work with the data.
