Choose Elements on round surface

Hello,

I want to put on pressure load on a wheel rim. The problem is, that the model only has meshed elements and no surfaces. For the pressure, I have to choose the wheel rim surface, but there are too many elements to do it manually. Is there an option to choose all elements on the round surface? I hope I have made the problem clear.

Hi,

You can try to organize the elements into a collector and then apply the load on elements present in that collector.

To organize the elements: Tool > Organize; Select the elements to be moved and the collector to which it should be moved.

To select elements within a circle, Shift + Single click and release of the mouse displays the entity selection pop-up menu:

Inside of circle selects the entities that are inside of a circle window.

In Hyperworks X,

Right Click anywhere in the window:
