.rad to hypermesh

Hello !!

 

Can i import a file .rad in hypermesh ? because I tried to do it but  in vain.

Try the tutorial first , and before you follow the below go to  <installation_directory>\tutorials\hwsolvers\radioss and right click the TENSILE_0000.rad file. and then make sure the read protect is off,

Step 1:  Load the RADIOSS (Block) User Profile

1.Launch HyperMesh Desktop.

2.From the Preferences menu, select the User Profiles or from the toolbar, click the  icon.

3.Select RADIOSS (Block120) and click OK.

Step 2:  Load the solver deck

1.Click File > Import > Solver Deck or click .

2.Click the Select File icon  , navigate to <installation_directory>\tutorials\hwsolvers\radioss and open the TENSILE_0000.rad file.

3.Click Open.

4.Click Import.

5.Click Close to close the window.

i don't have the geometry i have a mesh file when i try to import it i had this message : 

 

Error:      The file is not a 4.1 or 4.2 or 4.4  or 5.1 or 9.0 or 10.0 or 11.0 or 12.0 Radioss Block File (file version = 12)

                Resolution:  Quitting..

Then you may have exported the model from HyperCrash RADIOSS V13 user profile.Could you please check this?

If you did so,it will not be opened in Radioss Block 12.0 version.You should export it from HyperCrash Radioss V12 or lower version and then try to import in HyperMesh.
