hello...

I want to create an altron substrate ... I only have its relative permittivity . So my question is how to create it and apply it to the considered element.

    Hello,

    you can create a new material in the Construction Tab under Media -> Dielectric Medium (if it is a dielectric) or Metallic Medium (it it is a metal). You need the epsr and the tand to define a dielectric medium.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>image.thumb.png.a6492ac82f340335b117196614f7106f.png

    Then you can apply the material to the region under the Details tab and right-click:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>image.thumb.png.dabc3278a4483bdf7ad8848e19aff5f9.png

    You can find a simple example of a patch antenna showing this in the Gettingstarted.pdf (example 3) in the Feko documentation.

    You can also apply dielectrics to faces using the same procedure.
