3D solid material orientation for MAT9ORT

Hello, everyone!

I was looking here on forum for help with orienting 3D solid materials and saw that there are scripts that we can run on OptiStruct to have this feature. One of them is ElemSys1.tcl, but I couldn't find it. If anyone can tell me where to find it... I tried using other scripts and it didn't work for me.

Hello Nayara,

 

from version 2019, we start developping an Aerospace toolbar, which include several tools including some for material orientation. As most of the tool are relevant not only for Aerospace but other industries too, feel free to use them.

 

From old interface: in the User profiles, select Engineering Solutions, -> Aerospace -> OptiStruct (or any other solver supported)

 

From new interface:

Right click in the top menu aove the Ribbon, and check Aerospace

 

Then look for Material Orientation if you want to set an orientation:

 

 

or Display Orientation Review if you want to review it
