Select and Delete Collectors By Name
Our bolts, nuts, and washers, have part numbers where the letter m is either the second or third character. All of the other characters are numerals.
How can I delete *m* collectors? I want to get rid of all of my bolts, nuts, and washers quickly. I do want a chance to review them first and make sure I haven't accidently somehow included a desireable part. Then after the review, delete them all!
I am using HM 12.0 on Windows 7 on an HP computer.
Thank you.

Hi Phil,
a simple way is to use the filter function of the browser.
Right click at a empty area inside the browser and select 'Show Filter'. Then use two times your filter function (?m* and ??m* for the m's on second and third position).
You are right, you have to check the components. But then you can select and delete all at one (selecting by using 'shift' at the browser).
Hopefully it helps,
best regards,
Mario

Mario,
Thank you. You taught me two things that will help me with many tasks.
1) I had looked all over for a filter, but didn't think of right click.
2) I had tried to shift-select and cntrl-select without success. Your reply told me that it was do-able. I found my error. I had been clicking on the geometry and FE icons. I learned you must click on the collector name.
Thank you very much for the help. /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
