Static (Stationary) Client Antenna

Hi

I am totally new to the Feko WinProp and I want to ask about some possibilities of defining some features in the Feko software. I want to set up an indoor environment with stationary base stations and a stationary client as well as defining a moving obstacle (both base station and client are stationary but the obstacle is moving). I want also to apply beam sweeping technique where the beam station sweep its beams in different directions and the client calculate and record the SNR values of each beam. Is this doable in Feko? and Is there any documentation for that because I went through the docs and did not find how to define stationary client without routing/path.

Thanks

    Hi Ahmed,

You can model your scenario using WinProp. Here are some tips you can follow:

Moving object, stationary base station and stationary client

    1. First start by creating your database in WallMan. You can either build it yourself, or convert different types of database into WallMan compatible database type. (c.f. Winprop User guide, Section 3.1.1 -> Indoor Database -> Conversion of Indoor Database to check all the supported file formats)
    2. Any moving object should be set in WallMan. To do so, you should group all the elements of your object in one group ( Objects -> Group Objects / Group Selected objects). Once you have set a group for your dynamic object, you can go to Edit -> Launch Time Variant Mode. You will be prompted with a window where you can set the trajectory of different groups of objects in your database (speed, translation vection, etc...).
    3. Regarding the base station (Tx) and the mobile station (Rx), these are defined in ProMan after you import the WallMan database you have created and saved. By default, they are stationary. A trajectory can be assigned to each if necessary.

    SNR computation for multiple beams

    1. You can define your mobile station (client), as an array of antennas where each of your antennas can have a different pattern. After than, you can set the Channel data information in ProMan as shown in the window below. You can Request the SNIR map to be computed as well.

Here are some helpful documents in general for WinProp:

    I hope this helps!
