Hello,

I have to do an mode analysis for a circular rotor with HM. Therefor I created two cross sections with Hyperbeam and chose them in the property cards. While creating the 1d-beam-elements I picked them of course. The material, BC, LoadCollector mode and load step are defined.

What else do I have to do for an successful mode analysis of a 1d-elements rotor?

Best regards

FloMa

    Hi FloMa,

Looks everything perfect, have you defined a EIGEN card for modal analysis?

Please refer to the tutorial OS-1020: Normal Modes Analysis of a Splash Shield for more information on modal analysis using OptiStruct

    Hello Pagadala,

Thank you for your fast answer. I perused the tutorial and it was indeed helpful ;-)

Nonetheless it dosn't work. For Card image I use PBEAML (PBEAM generates many Errors - 'Prop missing or incorrect for element)

Now I get the following Error: '1479, incorectly formatted numeric data in field 9 (if it is a character field, it should start with a letter)

Heres the line from the input data: ($HMBEAMSEC PBEAMLASSOC)

    PBEAML 1 1 +

    Best gegards

    Hi FloMa

Have you referred a HyperBeam section in PBEAML card?

can you make sure that the HyperBeam section is created using standard OptiStruct section library and try again?

    Good evening,

Yes, I selected a BeamSection in the PropCard and it's a standard OS section.

    Any other ideas?

Is it possible for you to share the model?

    Hi FloMa

The element type CWELD is not compatible with PBEAM or PBEAML property. That is why you get the error.

    Oh, I didn't even notice that option image/emoticons/default_biggrin.png' alt=':D' srcset='/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

Now I selected for every PropsSetting PROD and it works ;-)

    Thank you for your support!
