Freeze node or elements number

Hi,

is there a way to 'freeze' some element number, i.e. to make impossible to renumber them? 

For example, I create a special node with id=100, then I want to renumber the whole mesh preserving that id without masking any element or node.

Hi,

 

Select all nodes except the special node and renumber. Can you try this?

yes, but it's very annoying since I have to renumber the entities several times....

are u sure a 'freeze' function doesn't exist in hypermesh?

Sure, there is  /emoticons/default_wink.png' alt=';)' srcset='/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

move your elements in to components that will be frozen

enter View>Entity State Browser

select the components and right click and > Set inactive
