Output of stress results
Hi all,
is there any possibility to directly output stress results from Hypermesh? I know that I can query results in Hyperview but is there any
way to directly generate an output file with the stresses?
I tried with .pch but it seems that with .pch I can only output the stresses at Z1 and Z2 but not MID?

Talking about the output of stress results: When I use the query tool in hyperview and export the node id, node corrdinates and Tensor(Grid Point Stresses (Global)) I receive 6 Values for the Tensor. In what order are these values? Or asked the other way around: Is XX, XY, YY, YZ, ZX,ZZ correct or is it another order?
Thanks a lot!

Asaad,
the stress tensor components are ordered as follows: xx, yy, zz, xy, yz, zx

Thank you Margit!!!
I will need to have a source for that for my documentation. Do you know where to find something proper? I couldn't find this information in the altair help files..

To be honest I wasn't able to find the order of the stress tensor components in the altair help as well.
I got to this conclusion by comparing the values in the .pch (PUNCH file) with the hyperview query export as for NASTRAN (.pch) the order of this values is well documented ....

Aaaah! Smart ;D
Thank you!
When you to that tensor plot for Grid Point Stresses (Global) it shows the Order (XX YY ZZ XY YZ ZX) in the plot window in the upper left above the colour scale^^
