Error Saving .x_t and .step files
Hello,
I have been trying to save one of my optimizations as a parasolid and .step file and have been unsuccessful. The bottom base of the model gets saved every time, however the optimized portion is left off. I have physically tried selecting both parts and save them, yet the same thing occurs.
I tried to smooth the model and this worked. Unfortunately, I am looking for a more organic looking model.
Please let me know what I can do to save the entire optimization model

After optimization, what you are seeing on the Inspire screen is really elements, you have to use FIT to smooth the model > therefore creating geometry > then you can export to CAD formats.
You can use the shape explorer to change the shape as you wish before using FIT, I am not sure I understand what you mean by organic, however
One alternative is that you can save the optimized shape as STL,
1.Select an optimized shape in the modeling window. (The example below is from the Sketching and Optimizing tutorial.)
2.Select File > Save Selected... from the pull-down menu.
3.Change the file type to STL (*.stl) and click Save. Your shape has been saved in a standard stereo lithography format suitable for rapid prototype machines and for exporting to other applications.
