Hi,

I have a shell mesh of QUAD8. I would like to extract BAR3 elements at border of this mesh, but I can't found a way to do that easily.

'Tool'-> 'edges' give me PLOTEL (having only two nodes), not BAR3.

Any idea ?

TIA

    Hi,

first you try changing quad8 to quad4

    then make edges (plotel)

    then switch plotel to bar2

    then change bar2 to bar3
