    Hello,

    Basically there are two ways to make any model rigid:

    1. You can give the model a very high Young's Modulus

    2. You can go to '1D' page and in the 'Rigids' Panel select all the nodes of the model and make it rigid.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>image.thumb.png.d4f1ef7d344a3b07d8dbc7370c34c975.png

    To calculate the Moment of Inertia, HM has some pre-loaded scripts which will give you the values.

    For this go to the 'Post' page and then select the 'summary' panel. In that from the 'load' option load the appropriate script depending on the solver you are using.

    If you are using 'OptiStruct' enter the OptiStruct folder and select the mom_of_inertia script

    Then click on summary and this will give you the values.

    Thankyou
