Is it possible to use an edge port on a conformal microstrip antenna?

Hello, 

I am trying to simulate a conformal patch antenna feed by a microstrip line. An issue I have run into with this is I would like to use the method of moments to simulate it but the microstrip edge port gives me an error when I try to use it as it is a curved surface. The error I get is Error 3974:Expect a planar substrate definition when loading/exciting a microstrip edge port. Is there an effective workaround, should I try another method to simulate the antenna, or is there something wrong with my model? Thank you for any input and I have attached the model below.
