What do you recommend for a good motor development platform?

I have had good success using VisSim with F2801 and F28027 but I want to design an ultimate motor control board for code development purposes. I like the TI320F28335 (the 150Mhz, 520KB Flash) DSP. Do you have any experience with this DSP? Is this the top of the line DSP that I can rely on? Will it work with VisSim? How easy it is to transfer 28335 code to a 2806 code? Does VisSim handle things differently for 28335?
If you think 28335 is not a good choice from VisSim perspective than let me know which one is? My idea is to not worry about memory or speed of the uP during algorithm development and transfer codes to suitable 280x or even piccolo series after I get a feeling on how much speed and memory I need.

We support the F28335 just as well as the F280x and F28035/027 Piccolo series. I think it does make sense to design with a high powered, high RAM part to test out ideas, then fit to the smaller cheaper part once the design has settled. As you knoe, VisSim makes it very easy to switch between different members of the c2000 family. We have other customers doing the same. One popular route for motor development is to use the TI HV motor kit (http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdshvmtrpfckit.html) which comes with an F28035 controlCARD and get an F28335 control card(http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdscncd28335.html) for it.
