Abaqus Hypermesh solving

Hi guys, I'm going to go ahead and apologize for being a total newbie. I don't understand much of the jargon that is used, so if you mention something technical, please go out of your way to explain what it is on the first go around, and I'll commit it to memory. I'm trying to get my MS thesis done and I'm on a bit of a time crunch

I have my model/mesh/BC/ whatever-you-want-to-call-it set up in Hypermesh with my input being Abaqus Standard3D. I'm running steady state heat transfer on a very small unit cell for a new type of composite that I'm researching. I'm looking for heat fluxes to calculate thermal conductivity. Anyways, my only question is this: How do i actually solve the thing? What file types do I need to have? The only Hyperworks that I can find is Hyperworks 2019 X, and there are no tutorials on youtube for that new version of Hyperworks.

Any help that you can provide would be great, as I feel like I'm drinking water from a fire hydrant and I'm flying by the seat of my pants.

*Note: I'm using Alabama Super Computing's license, so I have a full license, not a student edition.

    you can use HyperMesh Desktop 2019 for your setup. The Help tutorials have some examples of setup for your model.

    You need to provide/export the .inp file for Abaqus solver.

    So I have the .inp already exported. Where would I go to in Hypermesh Desktop 2019 to input the .inp for solving? The HM-4300 stops just shy of that step.

    .inp file is Simulia Abaqus's input data. So if you want to solve this input, you have to have Abaqus solver.

    Altair Hyperworks does not have Abaqus solver for you.

     

    However, you can try to import .inp within Hypermesh and export again to Optistruct or Radioss format to solve with Altair's solver. Personally I never do that. Please check your imported data carefully before exporting to Altair's solver. Good luck!
