In the first Excel Demo Study, after selecting the input and output in the excel file, it is prompting to 'save a copy in each run directory?' What does this mean? Also, when I click on run definition, it doesn't successfully complete 'execute' and '

    Hi Rashi,

There is a error in the Excel Spreadsheet model connection in the HyperStudy 2023 version. We are working with the HyperStudy development team on the same.

Hence, in the meanwhile, it is recommended to use the HyperStudy 2022.3 version for the same.

The same example file works as intended in the HyperStudy 2022.3 version with no errors.

Also, the prompt to 'save a copy' in the run directory can be ignored & it does not effect the working of HyperStudy. The prompt is for saving HyperStudy relevant files in the subsequent analysis folders.

    Many thanks.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Shashi,

This error in the Excel Spreadsheet model connection has been fixed in the HyperStudy 2023.1 version.

We have tested its proper functioning using the HyperStudy tutorial mentioned below.

The same tutorial HS-1035 Optimization Study using an Excel Spreadsheet.pdf & its associated file  hst_spreadsheet_integration_example.xls has been attached in this post as an attachment for your reference.

    Many thanks.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Felix,

This issue was related to the Excel Spreadsheet model connection when defining the model type in the 'Define Model' step itself & is not related to the error (random model failing) you are facing in your HyperStudy setup.

We are working on your query & will provide recommendations for the same in the due course.

    Many thanks.

    Kind Regards
