When it comes to error messages like "Two triangular surfaces overlap" or similar, many users are often at a loss and do not know how to find these surfaces.

Unfortunately, the IDs of the mesh elements are currently not available in CADFEKO. They are stored in the .fek file and therefore only visible in POSTFEKO. If the above error message

occurs, simply open the model in POSTFEKO and then open the corresponding .out file. At the end of the .out file you will find information about the mesh elements that cause the error.

You can now click on "Find elements" in the 3D view and search for the elements listed in the .out file.

This way you know where the problem areas are located in the model and you can eliminate them in CADFEKO.

The video shows the complete workflow.
