Re: Simlation error
Hi Pravin Kumar,
the issue could be with the modelling method. Please check the following:
- furnish mass, inertia values and be correct if you are performing dynamic simulation
- if you are using contacts in your model check contact properties. it is recommended to manually mesh the geometry with a fine mesh where the bodies come in contact
- play with solver parameters like h_max, DAE, etc.. also try changing the integrator type to VSTIFF if there are flex bodies.
please let us know if any of the above helped you.
Re: Max 2 signals
Hi, Reza,
So, your question is how to "mux" not how to "max" two voltages together so that you can better check those two signals during the simulation.
If you have a large and complicated simulation which runs for a long time, and you want to observe data during simulation, in PSIM, please click "Elements >> Other >> Probes". You can find 1-channel, 2-channel, and 4 channel scopes here.
These scopes can be used to display simulation data during simulation.
If you want to display several waveforms in the same screen after the simulation is finished, Simview has many useful functions you can utilize.
Sincerely,
Rhonda
Re: Animation toolbar in Version 2022.2
I had the same issue. I tried following @Adriano A. Koga 's advice but still couldn't get it to pop up. I found that I needed to add a step. If I open a second blank window, and within the new blank window, select Hypermesh, then toggle back to my Hyperview window - the animation toolbar comes back. This is version 2022.3.
Re: Friction Drag and Pressure Drag
You should be able to get wall shear stress (on turbulence walls) and surface area - this would be the nodal values - then you multiply those to get the nodal shear force, which I think should be the nodal friction force. Sum those up and you have the surface friction force.
If you issue:
acuTrans -out -to info -extout
you can see the entire list of nodal quantities in the current results. Wall shear stress is in the standard nodal output, but you'll need to request surface nodal output on the desired surfaces - for nodal area. (Maybe there for walls left as type = auto_wall)
Re: Acusolve post processing in Abaqus
Yes, it seems that 5-node pyramid elements are the problem. I'm running Acusolve 2021.2. Maybe in a later update it works?
Nothing has changed in later versions yet. We'll make the request to support writing the pyramids. In the meantime, if you create the mesh with all-tets (so tets in the BL instead of wedges/prisms) you won't have any pyramids, and it should translate OK.
Re: Acusolve heat and mass transfer models
Hi Yangyang
Please refer this review paper: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ces.2020.115646, which I think is a very good review on the theoretical background on heat and mass transfer.
Hope this helps.
Wireless Charging Power Charging with PSIM
In the December 2017 issue of the How2Power Newsletter, John M. Miller and John Wolgemuth of Momentum Dynamics use PSIM as part of their evaluation of the practical and safety related limitations to high-power WPT (wireless power transfer), especially for heavy duty (HD) vehicles such as shuttle and transit bus, material handling, truck, rail, aerospace and marine.
Re: Simulator dive
I'd look at the Prescriptive Analytics extension for this application. Do you think this might do what you need?
Best,
Roland

Re: frame rate for screen capture "video to file"?
Hi Steven,
You can adjust the frame rate for AVI and GIF by going to Files > Preferences > Common > Capture > Frame rate (fps) as shown in the attached image.
