Using HyperStudy to study Flux variables

Hi,

I would like to study how I change material properties in Flux will relates to my simulation results.

For example, I create sensor at certain locations (temeparature), I was wonder if I can use HyperStudy to find out what material properties combination (x and Y resistivity) will lead to that temperauture output.

Thanks,

Jerome.

    Hello Jerome,

You can use HyperStudy connected to Flux(2D, 3D) to explore the relationships between the material properties and the outputs of interest (temperature in your case) and to figure out the optimal properties with respect to objectives and/or constraints (ex. minimize, maximize the temperature, achieve target value).

In your Flux model you would need to use parameters (controlled by scenario) instead of numerical values in the material properties definition (ex. resistivity in your case).

Next you will be able to select these parameters through the coupling component for HyperStudy, along with the outputs of interest (ex. sensor capturing the temperature value).

In HyperStudy, you can first perform a DOE to get insight how the material property variations are affecting the temperature (you can also consider geometric parameters along with the material properties). Or you can directly perform an optimization to search for optimal material properties.

    Does this help?

    Regards,

    Diana
