Element Duplication (Overlapped)

hello

I faced with the problem while I organized from component 1 into component 2 , I duplicated  elements in component 1, I think, It will be easier when I want to edit this element later.

After that, I found out that many elements is added at the same location (Node), that meant, in displayed, we see 1 element but actually, it is overlapped.

How can I fix the problem instead of delete and create it again.

Thank you for your answer

Best regards

Nut

    Hi Nut,

In order to fix the duplicate elements go to check elems menu (F10) >>duplicates >>save failed. Now go to delete (F2) menu select elements >>retrieve >>delete entity.

This will delete the duplicate elements from the model.

    Hi  George P Johnson

I have another question also ,yesterday I have tried to determine the reaction force of the beam by applying the impact load (Drop test).

I defined the cross sections not only on the beam surface (shell element) but also on the impactor  (solid element).

After solving, I found that , the cross section on solid element shown the reaction force perfectly but for the shell element, it shown the worst result (oscillation)

and magnitude, These are shown as picture below,

How can I determine the  normal reaction force on the shell element by using cross section.

    Thank you for your kindness

    Best regards
