Hi,

I am new to Hypermesh. I have quad4 element. when i display the element x- y direction of the quad elements. they are not aligned. x-axis is pointing to different directions for each quad. Would you please let me know how to change the x-dir of elements so that they all are aligned to the same direction.

    Hi Ray,

goto Analysis panel > Systems > Material orientation > Select all the elements > Choose the material orientation method > by system id > click on the system (X-Y-Z co-ordinate) as shown in the image below > then click assign, all the elements will be assigned in the same direction.

    Thank you

Enter menu Tools > Orient Review

In tab 'Orientation' you select Function 'Adjust N1-N2 dir' to adjust it

    Thank You Tinh,

Your direction worked. This is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks Premanand for your reply as well.  Premanand reply works only for adjusting material coordinate not the element. Thanks
