Hi I am doing some topology optimisation on a 3D engine pylon and I have a problem when applying the boundary and load conditions on as it is saying that the boundary conditions leads to compliance being negative or large value equal to 1.90178e+15 as Optimization/buckling analysis cannot be performed.
 due to possible rigid body mode. . This is based on the following images.  The fixation represents the boundary conditions and the circle shaped hanging position is weight of GE90 engine and the triangle shaped hanging position is the thrust of GE90 engine.  Can anyone please help me trying to prevent error 312 when trying to optimise this engine pylon.

    your mesh is not connected, thus your parts are disconnected from each other.

    You could do this by 2 ways:

    - remeshing your model, making sure the solid geometries are connected from the beginning, so your mesh will also be;

    - easiest way, is to create a contact of type FREEZE between parts, and connect them as if they were glued together (you can use auto-contact);

    Also doing this in Inspire is much easier, as your model is simple.
