Problem using Control_timestep

Hey guys,

after you've helped me out so well with my last problem, I have a new question to ask now.

As you might remember, I'm trying to calculate a bullet flying into a block of steel. The solver I'm going to use is LSDyna.

For the bullet's speed, I'd use approximately 350.000mm/s, which is a common speed for bullets.

At start, the bullet and the steel block are at a distance of 2mm, so it will take roughly 5.7e-6 s until the start of the impact. I guess a total simulation time of  10e-5s should be more than enough.

After setting these parameters(e.g. for control_termination), the calculation doesn't seem to work at all. I found out, that there's a control card called control_timestep, so I guessed this would be my solution.

To be honest with you, I have no idea how to correctly set these parameters for my simulation, so I'm hoping for you to help me out.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Rob
