Optimization not possible due to license problems

Dear all,

 

after having updated from HW 12.0 to 13.0, I now worked with Hypermesh for several months without any problems.

But trying to do some topology opimizations, I now always get the following error message:

 

License error:
Altair License Manager: License error
Feature: GlobalZoneEU
Error Code: 17
Error Description:
[LOCAL] E:\Software\HYPERWORKS\/security/altair_lic.dat - (Err: 6) Unable to read file
[NETWORK] 6200@tfprinter - (Err: 17) Request for more licenses than available on license server
Feature: OptiStruct
Error Code: 9
Error Description:
[LOCAL] E:\Software\HYPERWORKS\/security/altair_lic.dat - (Err: 6) Unable to read file
[NETWORK] 6200@tfprinter - (Err: 9) Feature not found
License Path: 6200@tfprinter;E:\Software\HYPERWORKS\/security/altair_lic.dat

 

License Type A came with 50 pieces of Altair HW Units.

Is an entire reinstallation of HW 13.0 necessary or is there another solution possible?

    Hi,

     

    Do you connect to a server with 50 HWU (units) license running?

     

    What is the file in this location - E:\Software\HYPERWORKS\/security/altair_lic.dat ? does HyperWorks function when you remove the file in this location?

     

    Please note that Optistruct optimization requires 50 units to run, given the specification is 1-4 cores, if you specify more cores for your run 50 units will not suffice.
