Applying reaction forces from an explicit crash analysis into a separate linear static structural model

I have a crash protection structure that must withstand and transfer force of a collision. This structure connects to a much larger global structural model that is modelled with beam elements.

The crash protection structure has connections to the larger global model and this is where I can extract the reaction forces from as plot of force/time for the collision.

What is the best way to apply these forces to the linear static global model? Would I use peak force or average force over the collision as I am not using time to dissipate the force in the linear static model?
