Resolve Managed License HTTP Error

Have you faced the following Managed License HTTP error and are unsure how to resolve it?

Altair Hosted HyperWorks Units: License error

Error Code: 1
Error Description:
SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Client [no subcode]
"An HTTP processing error occured"
Detail: [no detail]

 

Please perform the following steps:

1. Make sure you have installed all updates and that you are using the latest version of the product. The latest version is always available from the Marketplace.
2. Work with your IT department to create an exception in your proxy for the traffic going to our servers:
   • https://client.hhwu.altair.com - Used for general licensing checkouts
   • https://auth.hhwu.altair.com - Used for authorizing though tokens
   • https://auth.admin.altairone.com - Used for authorizing machine with Altair One username and password
   • https://alas.admin.altairone.com - Used for activation through Altair Licensing Activation System
   • https://auth.login.solidthinking.com - Legacy - Used for authorizing machine with Altair One username and password in older versions of software
   All traffic is going through port 443 (https).
3. If your operating system is Windows, and none of the above worked, set the environment variable ALM_HHWU_USE_WININET to 1
