Accelerating the simulation
Hello
I am trying to create a chain of particles say i have two meta particles chain one containing 90 particles and another containing 180 particles
I use the custom factory and the particle replacement API to generate the particles. I will deposit 200 chains at different heights (each chain is spaced at 20 microns from the other, the first chain is at 20 microns from the ground and the topmost chain is at the height of 4000 microns from the ground). I give them all an initial velocity of 0.1m/s (I don't want to give higher velocity as the chain might get rebounded from the ground, I have a very low coefficient of restitution too)
Now when i run this simulation at 10% of Raleigh time step the chains keep depositing say for about 15 hours on 16cores CPU and then some of them start to break, why does this happen?
I could reduce the time step to 1% of Raleigh time step but simulation time will be extremely high
Is there any work around for this?
Please let me know

I have tried to increase the body force (up to 10g) but simulation time does not reduce much

simulations run well till this time and then start breaking
