Problem with student license

Hello, I was trying to activate Hyperworks on Coonectme using the student license assosiated with my college email, unfortunately the licence provided to me won't work anymore, it turns out I activated my license on a different Computer a couple of weeks ago and the activation did work that time, unfortunately I was forced to change my computer not long after, because the software didnt work properly on Mac M1. I retraced the steps I did for the first installation but the student license I got won't work anymore, I get the following error message:

 

"Error activating License: This license was already activated using a different HostIDs."

 

Despite the fact  my license expires in 2025, how can I solve this problem?

    Hi,

    You get this error message: "The license was already activated using a different Host ID" when you had previously activated the student license on a different system. To use the license on another system, you must first deactivate it on your previous system.

    To deactivate your license from your previous computer, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to System (C:) > Program Files > Altair > 2023 > security > bin > win64 > gui.
    2. Locate and double-click on almutil_gui.exe to open the Altair License Utility.
    3. In the Altair License Utility, go to Tools > Deactivate License.
    4. Enter the activation key in the provided box and click on 'Deactivate.' (Refer to the image below)
    5. Once you have successfully deactivated the license on your computer, you can now activate the license on your other computer using the same activation key.

    NOTE: Please note that there are a limited number of chances to deactivate and reactivate a license. Therefore, it's advisable to avoid deactivating it several times.
