How to export plies as surface models

Hi there, I have successfully completed a FreeSize, Size, and Shuffle Optimization on a composite bike frame.

I would like to export the resulting plies to a STEP or similar file, but i seem to only be able to output the boundaries of the plies as sketches when using the "Aerospace>Composites>Ply Geometry Smoothing". Even if i select to output sketches. Does anyone have any ideas or a link to a tutorial to fix this please?

I have attached my HM file with the plies to be exported (minus all my loads and constraints etc). I am using the student edition if that is relevant.
