Trouble starting Hyperworks Student Edition 2023.1

Hello,

I recently installed the Student Edition bundle of HyperWorks as described here including activating the licence. However, I can't get the software to launch. Before installation, I verified the checksum (MD5) of the executable against the one provided on Altair Marketplace. No corruption during download.

When trying to open Hyperview from the start menu, nothing occurs. When I try to run it directly from its directory, I end up here (no error being displayed):

Could it be that my hardware is not compatible?

 

PC specs are as follows:

 

with a total of 16GB RAM.

 

 

Any advice or troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue?

Hi,

Can you confirm if you have downloaded and installed this particular exe "HyperWorks" (refer to the image below) from the student edition bundle?

Hi Payal, 

yes, I (re-)installed this exe (edu2023_win64.exe).

I managed to open HyperStudy "2023 (43.2623952) - ( EDU mode )" from the bundle, but still no luck when trying to open Hyperworks:

- nothing happens when starting it from the start menu. 
- when starting the exe from its path directly, it seems to be crashing at/after this stage:

Can you please confirm if you have downloaded HyperWorks Edu v2022 from the student edition bundle? If not already, kindly download the HyperWorks Edu v2022 from Altair One Marketplace - https://altairone.com/home as the student license will only work for this version.
