How to I generate faces from a set segment

I have multiple components in my model. I use the auto contact feature to generate set segments for contact. Now I want to have a thin layer of shells near the contacts. How do I generate faces only on the elements which are in contact?

 

If I directly use faces command, it generates it on the whole body. Is there a quick way to generate faces from set segments or contact surfaces?

Hi Akhilesh,

The maybe most frequently used way is to use the set segments to isolate the solid elements associated to the set segments. Then create face shells from the isolated solid elements. 

Depends on which version of HyperMesh you are using, to isolate the solid elements could be:

panel Tool -> find -> find attached -> set -> elements

or

right click on the set segments and select "isolate"
