Can I use ANN in Flux to detect fault for a SynRM motor?
In my research, I'm investigating the feasibility of using artificial neural networks (ANNs) within Altair Flux for fault detection in synchronous reluctance motors (SynRMs) used in electric vehicles (EVs). This hybrid approach aims to leverage the strengths of ANNs in learning complex fault patterns from Flux simulations, potentially enhancing fault detection sensitivity and adaptability to varying operating conditions. I'm seeking insights from the Altair community on the practical implementation and potential integration ANNs with Flux for SynRM fault detection in EV propulsion systems.

Hello Truc Hoang Ho;
From Flux side you can of course generate severals data and several default, like eccentricities or short circuit tests (turn to turn or phase to phase ...) then this data can be used to train an AI model (DA_PredictiveMaintenance_SolutionsFlyer_Letter_1028_Web.20201028141846987.pdf (altair.com))
(A Predictive Maintenance Demonstration Powered by Altair Digital Twins)
But the step zero is to have the Flux project as close as possible from the real one (a good digital twin model), so you can have an idea on the deviation between simulation and measurements, and then you can expect an acceptable deviation from the your AI results.
I hope this will help you

Is it alright for you to send me the pdf? I got "Sorry, no access." message when clicked on it.
