data import/export context for flux skew
Hi All,
Are there any documentation about force computation & data import/export context with Altair flux skew (2022.3)?
Because I tried this and got 0(N)
And the same model with 'integral on line' -->lines associated with region --> stator region and selecting the line gave me some values

Hello Divin,
It is supposed to be like a 3D post processing, what is the computation you want to do, are you using Mechanical coupling or Generic one ?

The workflow to compute magnetic forces is explain in the following video:
Magnetic force computation in IPMSM using Altair Flux - YouTube
only thing to consider is that in 2D the support is supposed to be created on lines or imported, in 3D, the support is supposed to be created on faces or imported.

Hello Farid,
Thanks a lot for the video
Since it is like 3D, You meant the documentation for data import/export contex for skew would be the same as 3D right?...
I have not tried flux 3D yet but, I was a bit confused because under computation region option there where face and volume region in skew and I could not find any documents specifically for Skew.
Thanks
Divin

Hi Davin;
You are welcome!
Yes, and normally for the forces, you need to select faces to create your support, this support can be also imported, you don't need to select face regions or volume regions
Once you created the support, you can then collect data on it, here you want to compute the magnetic forces
The workflow is always the same in 2D Skew or 3D

I hope this will help you
