Hello experts, If I try to add Material of Browse the existing ones "Part specified not found in model" appears in the lower left corner. Also my Hyperworks software freezes.  image

Seeking your help to figure this out.
Thank you.

Are you able to open this database in the newer version - 2022.2?  Does that behave better?

Can you attach a screen recording showing the parts/bodies as you scroll down the list?  (File > Screen Capture > Advanced Capture)  Just wondering if there are names that have non alpha-numeric characters.

Can you attach the HyperWorks CFD database?

    Thanks for your response.

I have attached the screen recording of part browser.

I tried again by giving them different names without non alpha-numeric characters but I got "command returned bad code: -1" and same error (Part specified not found in model) in the lower right corner.

Are you able to install the latest version 2022.2 - and try with that?  Any difference?

Are you able to share the database?  (You could open a support ticket through your AltairOne login if you are not comfortable sharing here.)

    Two ideas:

    1. Create a new file and see if you can create material  in the empty database (without any CAD). This check is to see if the problem is your installation related.

    2. Rename parts/solids with whitespace or dots, such that there is no dot, comma, space, etc in name. Kind of old school (DOS/Linux conform)

It's fine as long as I don't rename or regroup the parts.

I already have an active ticket, I'll open one after closing that.

    Thank you.

1st idea works, so yeah the problem arises when I rename or regroup parts/solids. I'll try again as per your instructions.
