User Roles and Access Privileges
In Altair, company accounts are managed through three distinct roles, each with specific permissions.
Owner: The owner has full control over the company account.
- Complete access to manage account settings.
- The only user authorized to transfer company ownership to another user.
- Can update company account metadata (e.g., address) in the portal.
- Altair uses the owner account for important company-related communications.
Administrator: Admins help manage the company's account users and license.
- Add, modify, or remove company user accounts.
- Access and manage software licenses assigned to the company.
User: Users can access and utilize assigned software but have limited
permissions.
- Log in to Altair One to download and use assigned software.
- No access to account settings or user/license management.
