This basic guided example teaches you how you can use HyperStudy to optimize a WinProp project.


The project contains a number of transmitting antennas in a building. Not all of them are needed to provide good coverage. Therefore, the antenna locations are to be seen as candidate locations. The optimizer will, by enabling and disabling antennas, identify how good coverage can be achieved with a minimal number of antennas.

The variables are whether an antenna is enabled or disabled.

The two goals are (1) achieve power above a certain level in at least a certain large percentage of the total area; (2) minimize number of enabled antennas.
