Panopticon enables designers to set formats for date/time columns that control how the data is parsed for proper loading as well as how date/time information is displayed in dashboards. This video shows how to control formats for columns containing time and date data as well as how to control the way such data is presented in finished dashboards. When loading date/time data from a data source, a format specification is required to assure that the data is correctly understood. This format is set in the data connector setting for each column containing datetime values. However, the format found in the data source may not be the format you want to display in the dashboard. To control the display format, you specify a format in the columns section of the data source, also known as the data schema editor.
