This article explains about how to switch from current source to voltage source excitation for a star-connected PMSM motor. The idea is to plot the voltage of phase_1 current source from the current source driven model and check at what position of the rotor, the voltage is maximum. Then in the voltage source-driven model, we can fix the initial position of the rotor with a value where voltage is the maximum in the current source-driven model. In the voltage source-driven model the steady state of the motor reaches after couple of electrical cycles due to transient at the start.
