Through this introductory tutorial you will learn how to export data from EDEM and use it in Altair HyperMesh to prepare an FEA analysis on pieces of equipment.

The exercise is directed at users with prior experience in EDEM and HyperMesh.

• Exporting relevant force data from EDEM.
• Preparing a mesh in HyperMesh.
• Setting up the force field, load collectors, load steps, and equipment material in HyperMesh
• Running OptiStruct as the FEA solver
• Post-processing analysis using HyperView
