The Session began with a brief overview of Filter Types(formula, value base, compound) within Analyze Tab in Monarch v.2021 before diving into the LIVE Questions. 

The Session began with our Expert reviewing the following:

• Quick review of New features in Monarch 2021  (reviewed first 5-minutes)
• Review Filter Type within Analyze Tab in Monarch 2021  (reviewed from 5-min to 30-mins into the session)
  
  •  Reviewed Formula Filter  (5-10 min time frame)
  • Reviewed Valued Based Filter  (15-20 min time frame)
  • Review Compound Filter (20-25 min time frame 
    • Compound Filter is comprised of two or more filters and one will need to have the individual filters created prior in order to create the compound filter
• Reviewed the Export Options for the Filters and Summaries 

LIVE Questions submitted:

Monarch: 

1. If we create a filter within the Prepare Window, will that filter appear as a saved filter in the Analyze Tab? 

• Filters are created, managed, and applied in the Analyze Window, but can also be applied to Exports.  They are not available in the Prepare Window.

2. How can you list the files in a directory, including metadata? How do you list the contents of a directory.  I don't want to use each file individually, but the contents of the directory. 

• Mo demo in how he captured a directory information and placed into a text file and brought in as a TEXT file and then trapped on the info to only list out the files.
  
  

Monarch Server: 

1.  Can I apply the 2021.1 update on top of an existing installation or do I have to uninstall 2021.0 first?

• YES, you can apply/upgrade to the latest Monarch Client.  You do not need to uninstall.  One can find the latest Monarch Client in Altair Market Place.
