The Style pill on the Panopticon dashboard handles background colors, border colors, font type, text colors, and other style properties for visualizations. Once you have applied your style settings to a visualization part, you can use those settings as the new default for all visualizations in the current workbook. You can create any number of custom styles and apply the same custom styles in other workbooks, including workbooks you have created in the past, by publishing your style settings as a custom Theme.
